Ada Louise Coleman-Johnson was born in Corpus Christi Texas to Mary Ethel Coleman and Walter Buddy Coleman Sr. on June 3rd 1964. She is the youngest of five children.
Ada grew up on Hickory Place, it is the BEST street in the world. It was and is full of family, love and the Lord. Ada's journey started with Christ at a very early age at St John Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Foy H Moody high School in Corpus Christi in 1982 and on March the 24, 1982, she brought a beautiful bouncing baby boy into the world James Quincy. In 1988 Ada moved to Houston Texas and a year later her son joined her. In 1992 she married Gerald Johnson. While in Houston she joined Windsor Park Church, Community of Faith Church and finally found her home at Triumphant Church.
Ada loved God.
Ada loved James Quincy.
Ada loved her "Sunflower" Amayah..
And she loved to fish and eat crawfish.
Ada transitioned peacefully from this life into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 4, 2022 at the age of 58.
She has left the legacy to be carried out by her granddaughter, Amayah " Sunflower" Cristina Coleman, a very special friend of 3 years Stephen Ellison, two brothers Walter B. Coleman Jr and James P. Coleman and a bonus brother Alan F. Shaw; two sisters Phyllis M. Coleman and Mary K. Jackson (John) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ada had three beyond bonus sisters Janice Swain, Kathy Arseneaux and Sherry Ann Taylor.
