Avery L. Wilson, Sr.

June 4, 1970 — May 25, 2022

Avery Lyle Wilson, Sr., son of Clyde Rose Jr. (deceased) & Gwendolyn L. Wilson was born June 4, 1970 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church of Corpus Christi, Texas and at a later age, converted to Catholic Faith and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Avery was a graduate of W. B. Ray High School, Class of 1989 and was the middle child three kids, being the only the ONLY MALE in a house full of women which helped him to survive his endeavors throughout his life.

Some of Avery’s major loves in life were his kids, being an AVID Dallas Cowboys fan, a MAJOR fan of WWE Wrestling in which he taught various moves that were passed down to his son Avery, Jr. and nephews Curtis & Altany.  Avery enjoyed in his spare time, cooking where he learned to prepare many delectable dishes where he would experiment with different ingredients which resulted in something new and delicious.

Avery was preceded in death by his father Clyde Rose Jr. & his grandmother Mable Moore Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Avery Wilson, Jr. & Alexis Lasha Marshall; his grandchildren: Jaelaya Luv Reyna & Jeremiah Lashaun Reyna; Mother: Gwendolyn L. Wilson; two sisters: Tressilyn Wilson-Perry & Josalyn (Shaun) Wilson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
