Brandon Marquis Broadnax

August 10, 1987 — August 1, 2022

On Monday, August 10, 1987, a beautiful bouncy baby boy, named Brandon Marquis Broadnax, was born to Linda M. Broadnax-Gilmore and Curtis M. Green, in Corpus Christi, TX. Brandon accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savor at an early age. He attend St. John First Baptist Church, Corpus Christi, TX, where he was baptized under the leadership of Rev. William L. Pullam.  After relocating to San Antonio, TX, Brandon became an active member of Treemont Temple Church, San Antonio, TX  under the leadership of  Pastor Larry J. Thompson. Brandon definitely loved The Lord and made sure to give God thanks every chance he could. In his younger years, Brandon attended Solomon Coles Elementary and Wynn Seale Junior High School in Corpus Christi, TX.  After the passing of his grandfather Mr. Joe Dixon, Brandon and his dad, Curtis, relocated to Austin, TX where he attended Decker Middle School in Austin, TX and Pflugerville High School, Pflugerville, TX.  He later received his G.E.D. from Navarro College, in Corsicana, TX.  He then studied automotive at Capitol City Trade and Technical School.  This afforded him the opportunity to work as a Machinist with General Shale, where he was employed until his untimely passing. Affectionately known as Bubba by his siblings and BB by the rest of his family, Brandon was loved by all who crossed his path. He never had a negative word to say about anyone and only offered advice when solicited.  Brandon was the peacemaker of the family and loved to dance and have a good time. From a young age his grandparents Mr. Joe and Mrs. Elnora Dixon  kept Brandon active in the community.  If he wasn't playing basketball at T.C. Ayers he was taking karate classes at McKenzie Karate.  He was well round from an early age, but music would become his passion, and with this passion he was afforded the opportunity to travel and perform in many different cities living out his dreams. After living in Austin, TX for awhile, Brandon then moved back to Corpus Christi, TX and as fate would have it, he was reunited with the love of  his life Ms. Deanna Stafford.  On Monday,  March 14,  2022, Brandon and Deanna entered into holy matrimony, becoming husband and wife in the eyes of God.  Brandon was a loving, loyal, devoted and faithful husband and father until his untimely transition. Brandon had a long standing love for his family, music, dancing and working out.  The highlight of  his day was coming home to his loving wife, Deanna Broadnax and their children, Ja'Zyah, Meelah and Jameel.  Brandon was strong in his beliefs and once he put his mind to something, there was no changing it.  He was very disciplined and determined and did whatever he could to uplift and encourage those round him. Brandon and his mother, Mrs. Linda M. Gilmore, had a unique and unbreakable relationship.  He  loved his mother and never failed to affirm her at the end of every phone conversation with the his loving expression, "I LOVE YOU MY QUEEN." On Monday, August 1, 2022, Brandon departed this life unexpectedly and entered into his eternal home in Glory.
