Deacon Jt Hearne, Jr.

JT Hearne, Jr was born on September 26, 1958 in McCamey, Texas to parents Glenda Jean Hearne and JT Hearne, Sr. However, the family relocated back to Houston, Texas and JT was raised in the church where he developed his love of music after his mother and father who were both gifted musically.

JT attended Grimes Elementary School, Albert Thomas Middle School, and Ross Sterling High School where he started participating in numerous talent shows and went on to sing with various bands throughout the years as well as still singing for the Lord. He had two signature songs that he loved and were always requested for him to sing, “Falling in Love with Jesus” and “When the Gates Swing Open”.

JT was preceded in death by his parents JT Hearne Sr., Glenda Hearne Williams, Step-Father LC Williams, Sister Peggy Jackson, Sons Jamel Newsome and Roger Jackson, Aunts Dorothy Neal, Eloise Rowlett and RT White and brother-in-law Melvin Johnson Jr.

JT came from a large and loving family and went on to develop his own large blended family. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Julietta Johnson Hearne, Andrea Deason, Jordan (Alexis) Johnson, Asia Deason. Ex-wife Shelia Herd Hearne, JT (Tracey) Hearne III, Gwen (Jimmy) Roberts, Shelitha (Greg) Callier and Shalonda Gibson. JT was also the proud father to David Raspberry, April Mason, and Monek Mason. Siblings Michael (Linda) Hearne, Sr., Linda (Wayne) Thomas, Marie (Sidney) Upchurch, and Sandra Robinson. In-Laws Jerome (Elaine) Herd, Frances Germany, Gary (Sadonia) Johnson, Christa (Lett) Brinkley, Jeffery (I’esha) Johnson and Teresa Johnson.

Grandchildren: A’Leyah Deason, Avyn Scott-Deason, Jayla Johnson, Jayden Matthews and Jade Johnson. Kianna Hearne, Trebian Hawthorne, Destini Hearne, Dreon Rogers, J’Taylor Hearne, Jasmine Roberts, Kristopher Henderson, Kenneth Henderson, and Kevin Henderson. Daniel Mason, Jaquell Mason, James Mason, Kirsten Mason, Javion Raspberry, and Marlee Raspberry. Great-grandchildren: Brielle Robinson, Janelle Robinson, and Khalil Henderson. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
