Douglas "Studda" Perkins

Douglas Wayne Perkins, “Studda”, was born on February 27, 1971,

in Hallettsville, Texas, where he attended Steven Male High School before

moving to Houston, Texas, where he attended Jack Yates High School. He was

the oldest son of two parented to Gwendolyn Marie Perkins and Robert D Rice.

Douglas was a jack of many trades but master of being a dedicated friend

to all who knew him. He worked in construction for several years. His fun

moments were spent gambling and living life with no regrets.

Douglas was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Cooper; father, Robert

D. Rice; grandmother, Ruby L. Perkins; and uncle, Anthony R. Perkins and

Gerald Harper

Douglas leaves to mourn: his mother, Gwendolyn Perkins; children, Timothy

Douglas Goree, Porche V. Phillips Keys (Larry) and Jacoby Copeland; siblings,

Tilgord L. Perkins, Maurice Rice, Maurice Lemons, Jennofer Davis, Keisha

Williams, Robert Earl Bellfort, and Ana Espinal; and grandchildren, Alaysia

M. Rylander, Destiny S. Tillis, Desarae A. Tillis, and Dasha Goree, along with

Alvin R. (Carolyn) Perkins, Margaret (Vincent) Jackson, Charlene Perkins,

Elton (Sedalia) Rice, and Doris Rice.
