Evelyn Lewis Jackson was born in Opelousas, Louisiana to Lucille and Lester Lewis in April 1, 1939.
She attended Christ the King Catholic School and later worked as a health care provider.. Later she became a professional nanny to many children. After retiring Evelyn spent time taking care of her great grandchildren Cameron and Connor until they were school age. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Lester Lewis, sisters Vivian Lewis, Leola Reynolds, Shirley Lewis. Brothers Xavier, Jesse and Ronald Lewis and her loving husband James Jackson Jr. Evelyn leaves to cherish her precious memories children , Charles (Quida) Richard Jr, and James (Serena) Brown Clementine (George) Washington and Shelia Marie (Miron) Gerard. A Special daughter in law Joyce Jones Richard. Sisters; Bernice Collins and Margeret Guillory. Brothers; Jerard Lewis, Robert Lewis and Joseph Lewis . Grandchildren Charles Richard III , Craig Gallien, Christopher Gallien, Twyler Marieware, Jacquila Brown, Dominic Brown, Desmond Brown, Serena Brown, Mondea Del and Yaskila Boss 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Evelyn Jackson loved people and had a heart of gold her smile would light up any room that she would enter. She favorite pass time was cooking ro make sure she feed everyone and shopping to find her beautiful hats and dresses. She was a very hard worker and the best mother in the world in our world. She would tell you just what she thought but she was real with everyone.
