Hilary "Catfish" Brown, Iii

On June 25, 1959, God displayed a son to Hilary, Jr., and Johnnie M. Brown. They named him Hilary Brown, III; At that time his mastery began. He was the third child of eight children to this union.

Hilary attended public school in the HISD District. With many skills learned, he became knowledgeable in many areas such as mechanics, along with working beside his father at their neighborhood service station. Later, he grew interested in many other techniques like art, carpentry, and handyman. He was always there to rescue you if you when stranded. That’s where he picked up the nickname, “Catfish,” you can always catch him no matter what bait you used.

At an early age, he attended Mt. Pleasant B.C. and worked until he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He decided to explore his faith by attending three biblical study programs mastering them all. Later, he united with Greater Zion B.C. under the leadership of Pastor Dale Perry and Jr. Pastor Henry Lewis. Hilary “Catfish” Brown was known by many. He had a special talent of making you smile and laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hilary Brown, Jr., and sisters, Sharon (Darlene) and Diana (Nana). He leaves many mastery possessions: his mother, Johnnie M. Brown; two sisters, Gwen (Dale) Anglitt and Deanna (Michael); three brothers, Melvin (Darlene), Mark (Wanda), and Tyrone; three children-in-love, Diamond, Delvin, and John Dee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; special friends who loved him, Margaret, Tomeka, and Dennis.
