Larry Eugene Boston, age 74, of Austin, Texas, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
Larry was born on February 26, 1952, in Lamesa, Texas, to Robert James Boston and JoNell Stenson Boston. As the second-born child and oldest son in the family, Larry grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he attended Roy H. Miller High School. After graduation, he proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he faithfully served for ten years.
On March 10, 1973, Larry married Margaret F. Barnes. Their union was a testament to faith and commitment, spanning 53 years. Together, they built a family grounded in love, resilience, and cherished traditions.
Following his military service, Larry enjoyed a career with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), where he served with dedication and professionalism for many years before retiring.
On April 13, 1997, Larry united with David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Joseph C. Parker, Jr.
Larry found joy in life's simple pleasures. One of his favorite pastimes was watching classic black-and-white western movies with his son, Claude. Those quiet moments together became treasured memories that reflected Larry's appreciation for family and tradition.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Pamela Yvette Boston; his parents, Robert James Boston and JoNell Stenson Boston; and his brother, Stanley Boston.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 53 years, Margaret F. Boston; his loving children, KiaWona Boston, Tamara Boston, and Claude Boston; and his beloved grandchildren, Kayla Boston, Triniti Williams, and Elijah Jackson.
He is also survived by his siblings: Ollie Boston Walker (Fred), Rickey Boston, Sr., and Desiree Boston Miller (Samuel), along with a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him.
Larry's life was one of service, devotion, and quiet strength. Whether serving his country or simply enjoying an old western with those he loved, he lived on his terms. His legacy will live in those who loved him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
