Linda Marie Moore

January 31, 1954 — November 21, 2022

Linda Marie Moore, age 68, passed from this life to be with the Lord on November 21, 2022. She was the bundle of joy born to Chester and Ida Mae Moore on January 31, 1954, in Houston, Texas. She was the first-born of ten (10) siblings. She was educated in the Klein Independent School District and worked various jobs throughout her life. She sincerely believed in her heart and soul that Jesus was the son of God, that He died on the cross to rescue her from sin and death and that He would restore her to the Father. Linda accepted Christ as her savior and remained a Christian until she passed.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Chester (1999) and Ida Mae Moore (1995); her brothers, Chester Moore, Jr. (2008) and Gerry Moore (2014) and her long-time love and companion, Woodrow (Bo) Alford, Jr. (2011).  Linda was the big sister, she loved to love on people and teach new and extraordinary things. She was an avid crafter who sewed dolls and perfected the art of decoupage on home furnishings. Her hands were rarely still. Making hand-made flowers from silk fabrics was one of her favorites. She also shared her love of food with her family and friends, as she loved to cook comforting meals, bake tea cakes and cookies.

Linda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as MiMi to her grandchildren, as well as to her great nieces and nephews. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her glad. She made friends everywhere she went.  Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Psalm 121 - “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:  He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Linda leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her three (3) sons, Rodney Moore (Austin, TX), Thadamus Moore and Woodrow Moore (Houston, TX); her three (3) brothers, Archie Moore, Michael Moore and Phillip Moore; six (6) sisters,Teresa Moore, Terry (Moore) Dominguez, Michelle Moore-Johnson, Karen    Moore, Vergedretta Moore-Edmond, and Crystal Moore-Kemp all of Houston, Texas; She was the adored MiMi to her grandchildren, Kia Moore, Taylor Moore, Amani Moore, and Morgan Moore; plus her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she dearly loved.
