Manuel Ernest Dominguez, aged 62, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in Corpus Christi. Born on May 28, 1962, "Ernie," as he was fondly known, was a beacon of joy and support in his community. Ernie graduated from Foy H. Moody High School in 1982 and went on to establish a successful career in the refinery and electrical fields, where he applied his expertise in both commercial and residential settings. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were widely respected by his colleagues and clients alike. Outside of his professional life, Ernie was a man of many passions. He relished the outdoors, especially when fishing and hunting with his Trevino and Saavedra cousins and his sons. He also had a love for barbequing, music, dancing, and was an enthusiastic fan of entertainment wrestling, all of which brought great joy and laughter to those around him. Ernie was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his sister Monica Robles, his sons Manuel Ernest Dominguez II and his wife Megan, Everett Vince Flores, Rudy Flores and his husband Javier, his nephew Justin Savedra and his wife Tiffany, as well as his great nephew Jordan Savedra and great niece Jolene Savedra, who is expected in March 2025. His passing was preceded by his parents, Manuel Isauro Dominguez and Olga Saavedra Dominguez, along with his maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a service to follow at 10:00 AM. This gathering will reflect his spirited and generous nature, honoring a man who was always ready with a helping hand and a smile for everyone he met.
