Patrick Lafonn Lewis

Patrick Lafonn Lewis, Jr., affectionately known as PJ, was born on October 12, 2001, to Patrick L. Lewis, Sr., and Shayona S. Lewis in Houston, Texas. PJ attended Spring High, where he graduated with a diploma with the class of 2020. PJ was employed by Amazon. He had dreams of being an entrepreneur.

PJ was the first son, grandson, and nephew. He had a special bond with his sister, Ra’Isa, “Dachi.” No matter how many times the family tried to teach him how to pronounce Ra’Isa, it always came out “Dachi.” At an early age, PJ had a love for motorcycles and cars. He liked to pretend he was repairing and washing his motorcycle with his dad. PJ played little league football with the world famous North Houston Jaguars. He started playing football at eight years old and played until he was in high school. He played receiver, cornerback, running back, and special teams. PJ was fast and energetic! He also released his energy by running and turning flips throughout the house.

As he got older, PJ became more relaxed and laid back. PJ became the best big brother and protector for his sisters. Being the only boy with four sisters, he took his role serious. He made it a priority to check in and make sure his sisters were ok. He was very well mannered and respectful. PJ was loved by so many and returned the love by everyone he met.

PJ was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ben Jones, Herbert and Catherine Jackson, Eriton Lewis, Sr., and Anna Bell Doucette; and grandfather, Luther Patrick Lewis.

PJ leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Patrick L.Lewis, Sr. (FurlettaLewis); his mother, Shayona Lewis (Damascus “Deddy” Vedor); his four sisters, Ra’Isa Lewis, Amaya Lewis, Londyn Lewis, and KendallLewis; grandparents, Simonne Muhammed, Lestman Jones (Olivia Jones), Angelie Carmouche, Kevin Davis (Liza Suda), and Tariq Muhammed; great-grandmother, Audrey Murray and Tema Lewis; P.J. had a special bond with his girlfriend, Jazmin Layton. He is cherished and adored by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
