Royce Eric Thomas

Royce Eric Thomas was born May 31, 1968, in Beaumont, Texas, to the union of Dewey A. Thomas and Dorothy Lee Thomas (Edwards). Royce departed his life on this side of Heaven on June 24, 2023. Royce accepted our Lord at an early age. He was a happy man and everyone loved to hear him laugh and had great smile. He grew up in Beaumont and graduated in 1986 from West Brook High School in Beaumont. After graduating high school, Royce became a skilled Machine Maintenance Operator for various companies. He left Beaumont and moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. His last place of employment was with Rubbermaid in Humble, Texas. Royce loved his kids, one sister, and going to visit his dad in Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lee Thomas; grandmothers, Audrey Washington and Lerlen Edwards; grandfathers, Reverend Samuel L. Washington and Reverend Woodrow Edwards; godmother and aunt, Ellamae Edwards; and first cousin, Delores Harmon Ford. He leaves to cherish his memories: father, Dewey A. Thomas of Rocksprings, WY; son, Jashawn Michael Thomas of Austin, TX; daughter, Monique Bassett (Ira) of Murphy, TX; sister, Ursula Bryant (Christopher) of Dallas, TX; three grandkids; two nieces; one nephew; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Royce will truly be missed by many.
