Stephanie Elaine Lundy Smith

Stephanie Elaine Lundy-Smith, affectionately called Elaine, was born on November 6, 1966, to Martha Ella Jones and George Lundy in Houston, TX.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age when she was baptized at Willing Worker Baptist Church by Pastor James Tarrington. She continued to visit other churches throughout her life. She was God fearing. She would faithfully read her bible daily for motivation and inspiration before she started the day. She married her husband, Bill Smith who was called home by the lord in 2003.

She attended Forest Brook High School. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years and cared deeply about her patients. She really enjoyed her job and loved to take care of others, even when she was not feeling well herself. She was a giver and would help anyone in need without needing an explanation and would not look for anything in return.

Stephanie was a social butterfly and was the life of the party .It was never a dull moment when she was around. She was outgoing, outspoken, with a big personality. She made a new friend everywhere she went. She was a loving woman who put others before herself. She was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and was ready to shout out her team during football season. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith, her father, George Lundy, and her older brother Otis Lundy.

Stephanie is survived by her mother, Martha Jones (Clarence Jones), her children, Shantel Lundy (Demarqueen Bell), Lashunda Lundy, Fred Erskin Jr., Bill Smith Jr., her siblings, Kasaver Lundy, Lela Middlebrooks (Larry Middlebrooks), Craig Lundy, Stevie Lundy, William Lundy, Cynthia Lundy, Roe Ann Safford and grandchildren, Kayla Jones, Khori Jones, Kyrie Jones, Da’Lana Bell, Deyjah Bell, Demarqueen Bell Jr., and Mesiah Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
