Alton Tyrone Branford

On July 10, 1960, a baby boy was born to Willie Mae Brandford and Elbert Word. They named the

baby Alton Tyrone Branford, the seventh child of nine siblings, all born and reared in Houston,

Texas. He accepted Christ and was baptized as a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in

the Garden City Addition. He attended Klein High School and graduated with the class of 1979.

He united in holy matrimony with Lori Wilkins in December of 1990. To this union was born two

children, Brittney and Alton Jr. (A.J.).

He leaves to mourn: his devoted wife, Lori Branford; children, Pam, Brittney, Louis, and Alton Jr.;

brothers, Norman (Susan) and Elrick; sisters, Pearl (Tim), Linda (Shannon), Carmen, and Shelia;

grandchildren, Londynn, Laurynn, Louis Jr., Javien, Jordan, Charly, Hosea, Braylon, Kayla, Mia,

and Jakobe; and godchild, Khadijah Imani Abbit.
