Deje'una De'Un'Shae' Garrett Hilliard

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023 our Earth Angel, Deje’una Garrett-Hilliard left this world unexpectedly and entered into eternal rest.

Deja was born February 6, 1999 to Shameka Garrett (Woodley) in Houston, Texas. There she attended and graduated from Westfield High School.

Deja was a mother, a daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, and friend. Deja had a very wise soul and loved expressing herself creatively through hair, nails, all things fashion and her love of music. She was very playful, friendly, outgoing, vivacious, and had an infectious smile that brought love and joy to so many. Deja loved taking selfies and capturing the special moments of her life, but nothing could capture the essence of joy that motherhood brought to her. She absolutely loved and adored her children, and they were her “entire world”. If you were fortunate enough to be present when she gazed into their faces, you’d possibly be blinded by the pure joy that radiated within her. She wanted nothing more than for them to have a wonderful life.

Deja is proceeded in death by her great grandparents, Jane Garrett-Breeler, Ralph Polk, Ruby and Joseph Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Brandon Robinson Jr. and Knowledge Thomas, her mother Shameka Woodley, her fathers Kelvin Woodley Jr. and Reginald Hilliard, sisters Deavion Daniels, Reanna Hilliard, Mya Jones, Wysdom Hilliard, Makailyn Bryant, brothers Dontavius Jackson, Jeremiah Garrett, Cameron Hilliard, Alladin Miller, Kevon Woodley, Keion Woodley, Treyvon Jones, Reginald Hilliard Jr., grandparents Sharon Garrett, Jonathan Jones, Sandra Hilliard, Mary and Kelvin Woodley Sr., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
