Obituary
Donell Alvin Davis went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Donell was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 14, 1945 to Henry and Leola Davis. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Shiloh Baptist Church in Boling, Texas where he served as a junior deacon. He united with the St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Harold T. Branch.
Donell graduate from Solomon Melvin Coles High School where he played on the 1960 State Championship team.
He was employed with the United States Postal System for more than 38 years and during that time, received numerous awards and including having a spotless driving record his entire career with the United States Postal Service.
Donell is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Leola Davis; two brothers: Henry Davis, Jr and Howard Davis; two sisters: Stella Ann Richardson and Mary Ann Davis; and his wife Maurice Williams.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his two sons, Donell Davis, Jr. and Harold Williams; three brothers, Raymond (Alma) Davis, Charles (Paula) Davis, Melvin (Ann Bennett) Davis, his nephew Ricky Richardson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
