Dorothy Ann Ledet Brown was born October 25, 1949, to Elvin Ledet, Sr., and Lillian Victorian. Born the seventh out of ten children, Dorothy grew up and attended Adams High School, where she graduated in 1967.
She was favored and blessed to meet the man of her dreams who lead her to Christ, and then she lead her family to the Lord as well. Dorothy was known as a giving and loving person. In 2009, she was nominated Employee of the Year by her peers and the Selection Board at Memorial Herman Northeast Hospital. Dorothy never met a stranger and wore a smile that was contagious.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her love and memories: daughters, Doctor Dion Andrea Richardson, PHD Theology, and LaTrina Ann Richardson; grandsons, Bryan Rasheed Lockridge and Joshua Dunn; grand-daughters, Lillian Victoria (Amber) Parnell, Bryanna Alexis Richardson, Raquel Robinson, Jordan Dunn, and Alexis Trower; great-granddaughter, Marcilla Iyanda Parnell; great-grandsons, Javen Stringer and Andre Stringer; three sisters, Irene Botley, Barbara Carter, and Linda Gradney; two brothers, Carroll Ledet and Elvin Ledet, Sr.; god-daughters, Sabrina Johnson Mayberry, and Denitra Dunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Prince Ella Davion Parnell; sister, LaDora Jean Harmon; brothers, Johnnie Ledet, Sr., Wilbert Ledet, Victor Joseph Ledet, Lewis Ledet, and Wilmer John Ledet; and both parents, Elvin Ledet, Sr., and Lillian Victorian Cooper.
