Erma Harper Obituary

Erma Jean Harper, 83 years old, passed away peacefully on February 8th 2024 in Cypress, TX. She was the fifth child out of 9 children born to Tony Redix, Sr. and Clodie Redix on September 19th 1940 in Seguin, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas where she attended West Oso High School and  met and married the love of her life Willie Harper, Jr. on April 26th 1958. 
For several years, she worked for Durham Transportation which she enjoyed.  Erma (Dean) was very outgoing and loved to speak her mind and was proud with a feisty spirit. She loved giving advice to any and everyone. Going to her Family Reunions in Seguin, TX was always the highlight of every year, and she would talk about all the fun that was had by all for months. Preceding her in death  was her husband Willie Harper, Jr and her daughter Terri Graves who was married to Tyrone Graves, Sr. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brothers  JT, Robert ,Tony,and Bill Redix, and  sisters Odessa Williams and Glenda Alexander. She is survived by her immediate family, Vickey Tryon (Michael), Voncille Taylor(Frederick), Willie Harper, III (Joan), Lance Harper(Tyra),7   grandchildren: Michael Tryon, Jr. (Claire), Marques Tryon(Cindy), Jerald Harper(Jessica), Elizabeth Segovia(Jose), Willie Harper, IV(Barbara), Tyrone Graves, Jr. (Breanna), and Landon Harper. Also in her legacy are her great grandchildren, Jerald Harper, II, Allison Segovia, Arian Segovia, Taj Harper, Ashlyn Segovia, Aiden Segovia, Haven Harper, Zora Graves, and Naomi Tryon. In addition, 3 siblings are left to mourn: Sisters, Mary Lee Coleman(Arthur),Kathryn Foreman(Robert) and one brother Floyd Mittag Redix(Fred), a sister-in-law Rita Redix(Bill) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
