Margaret Finex
Obituary
Margaret Finex was born on September 23, 1940, to Beatrice Finex, and raised by her grandparents, Elizabeth and Gip Finex. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, where she excelled in her general studies, as well as culinary and sports.
She later met and married Cordell Holmes. To this union, three children were born, Michael Holmes, James Holmes, and Jean Holmes, whom she provided a loving, fulfilled life to. Margaret worked for Houston Independent School District for over 31 years until she had to retire due to health issues. She was a loving, kindhearted, generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Finex, and grandparents, Elizabeth and Gip Finex. She leaves to cherish more memories: her children, (son) Michael (LaToishia)Holmes, Sr., James Holmes, and Jean Holmes; brother, Vernon Gaines; five grandkids and five great-grandkids; and a host of other relatives and friends.
