MELVIN LEWIS TRAYLOR was born on November 19, 1947, in Dangerfield, Texas, to Cranford and Malissa Traylor.
HE graduated from Carver High School in 1967, affectionately known as the Sweat Hogs. Melvin was enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country in the Vietnam War. Once Melvin returned home, he then worked at the Department of Justice in Sacramento, California, for 20 years where he was the Sergeant.
Also, Meloi was an auid golfer and a lover of all sports. Melvin was known as a "Smooth Cat" because of his fashions and style.
He loved to dance and be surrounded by family and friends.
WHILE working in the Department, this is where he met and married his wife Sharon of 25 years until his demise.
MELVIN was the proud father of four boys and a bonus father to four others. They were a blended family and loved each other immensely.
ON October 10, 2023, God saw that Melvin was tired and he was reunited with his parents; daughter, LaShauna; C.T., IT, and Roy; and one sister, Helen.
MELVIN leaves to moum his passing; wife, Sharon Traylor; sons, Rodney, Melvin, Jamal, Christopher; bonus children, LaReesa, Myesha, and Maurice; sisters, Elmer Jean Smith, Evelyn Thomas (Van), Earnestine Gladney, Annie Briscoe, Ruby Traylor, and Carolyn Traylor; brother, Curtis Traylor, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
