He completed his secondary education at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, where he not only excelled academically but also participated in various extracurricular activities that enriched his high school experience. Following his graduation in 1987, Robert pursued a career in the funeral service industry, enrolling in the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. In 1999, he proudly graduated, equipping himself with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve families during their most challenging times.
Today, Robert is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, bringing compassion and professionalism to his work. His dedication to the field is evident through his extensive involvement in various professional organizations. He has served the President of the Houston Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, where he worked tirelessly to advocate for the interests of funeral professionals. Additionally, he is the President of the Psi Chapter of the Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, Inc., and holds the position of Southwest Region Vice-President of the same fraternity. His commitment to excellence in funeral service is further demonstrated through his service on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and as a Board Member of the Independent Funeral Directors Association of Texas, Inc.
Beyond his professional achievements, Robert is also deeply rooted in his faith and community. He is an active member of the Cathedral of Life Church, where Rev. Phillip R. Kent, Jr. leads the congregation. His involvement in the church reflects his commitment to service and the importance he places on supporting those around him.
Robert's greatest pride and joy come from his role as a father to his beloved daughter, RoShan L. Barnes. He finds immense happiness in spoiling his grandchildren, Danziah Alexander, Ky’Ziah Anthony, and Corbyn Anthony, cherishing every moment spent with them. His family is a source of inspiration and strength, motivating him to continue making a positive impact in both his professional and personal life.
